In this section, students are to identify how to formulate what a technical description is based upon their experience in technical writing and technical description samples show in class. The technical description is composed in a concise manner to portray information on object(s). In this assignment the object was a staples office box, where elements and features of the object are to be written about.

Staples File Box 

Object 

Proposes object is a box that is manufactured to place items in with simplicity. The object is used to place items in such as paper, files, documents, and light weight paper to move. The object’s full description is presented below. 

Dimensions 

The box is a 3D box which has a length of 16.25 in, a width of 12.5 in, and a height of 10.5 in. There are two holds which are cut open from the box, which carry an oval shape. 

The cardboard needs proper measurement to be bent into its proper shape, the flat cardboard into the 3D shape. The object must also have bendable panels for it to be placed in tights areas for future use. The provided folds and openings are to be 4 panels from both width (2) and length sides (2) must be folded. 

Materials 

Object is made up of corrugated cardboard, and paint. 

Colors 

The colors of the box’s interior are the base colors of the cardboard, light brown, while the exterior consists of a painted white color. The label is to be placed under the handler openings. Labeling of the box must painted in black. Like the box, the lid interior color is the brown cardboard color, while the exterior is white. 

Design 

The design is very vague, and plain. The object consists of whole painted colors with the labeling of *insert company name here…* being the most observative feature.
